Lundy Island, situated in the Bristol Channel, is a place of outstanding natural beauty. It is easy to reach as it is less than 2 hours from the mainland, by boat. With its own shop, tavern and 23 individual properties for visitors to rent, the peace and tranquillity you will find there, is a world apart from the mainland. 
 
Why not take a Winter Break with an exhilarating helicopter ride to Lundy? Enjoy spectacular aerial views of the island and coastline. The helicoptor departs Monday and Friday from Hartland Point Bideford. 
 
Alternatively you can take the ferry to Lundy island which departs from Bideford Quay, North Devon.

A fabulous, small museum which illustrates Combe Martin's history: Artifacts, photographs, maps and pictures of the old village industries (silver mining, lime quarrying and burning, agriculture and horticulture) together with details of its maritime history. The museum also has educational facilities for schools. We are now a MLA accredited museum.

A deep, lush wooded river valley or 'combe' running down to the sea at Heddon's Mouth beach from an information centre and shop. A great spot for butterflies and site of a restored Victorian lime kiln.

The South West Coast Path National Trail - 630 miles of superb coastal walking. From Minehead on the edge of the Exmoor National Park to the shores of Poole Harbour in Dorset it is a fantastic way to enjoy the wonderful coastal scenery, wildlife and heritage.
